According to Deadline, Prime Video has teamed up with Rogen and Goldberg to bring back the “Sausage Party” team for a new animated series. “Sausage Party” is a 2016 movie about anthropomorphic food living in a grocery store trying to fend off an evil asshole. “Film was once the superior art form to television, and we have humbly reached the pinnacle of what can be achieved with film in our remarkable opus, ‘Sausage Party,'” Rogen and Goldberg said. “But now that cinema is completely dead and TV is king of entertainment forever, we’ve decided to continue the epic adventures of our culinary team in the soon-to-be-legendary TV masterpiece ‘Sausage Party: Foodtopia’. It’s got all the heart, double the puns, and triple the food-on-food sex—in other words, it’s just what the world needs right now.
