Amazon Prime Day 2022: planned offers

Last year, Amazon surprised us with amazing deals on everything from the best OLED TVs to the best cheap headphones and the best iPads. That said, it reserves the biggest discounts for its own technology.

This year, early bird offers starting June 21 mean Prime members can save up to 55% on select Amazon devices (opens in a new tab)including Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen) and Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen) Kids, Fire 7 Tablet (2019 release) and Echo Dot (4th Gen) with a free smart bulb.

Amazon also confirmed a host of early savings on Fire TV smart TVs.

Early Prime Day TV Deals

With the Ryder Cup and FIFA World Cup on the horizon, we’re also expecting to see some epic deals on OLED TVs. Last year, Amazon cut over $900 off the 65-inch 2020 Sony A8H OLED. Most recently, the award-winning 48-inch LG C1 OLED TV dropped to just $897. Could it fall even lower come Prime Day? It’s definitely one to watch.

And as more of us book vacations, many shoppers will be ready to take advantage of discounts on wireless headphones. Amazon previously cut our favorites, the five-star Sony WH-1000XM4, from $350 to $248. The arrival of the new WH-1000XM5 could see the old one drop to around $200 in July.

Prime Day 2022 could also be good news for gamers. With PS5 and Xbox Series X stock becoming more available, we expect to see the first Prime Day console deals. The same goes for the Nintendo Switch, which is always a big draw on day one.

Want a free $10 credit? From now until Prime Day 2022, members can collect a virtual “stamp” to explore four Prime activities: stream Prime Video, listen to Prime Music, borrow a Prime Reading or Kindle Unlimited book, or add one to their library , and make a qualifying purchase for shipping. Visit Amazon Stamp Card (opens in a new tab) webpage for full details.

Last but not least, from June 21 through July 11, for every dollar spent on qualifying small business products, customers will have a chance to win prizes. Amazon says hundreds of thousands of Amazon gift cards will be up for grabs, to begin with.
