Amazon India today announced that it will host the third edition of “Amazon Smbhav” on May 18and and 19and This year. The two-day virtual mega summit will bring together policymakers, prominent industry leaders, solution providers, startups and Amazon executives for invigorating discussions on the best ways to leverage technology to enable digitization and economic advancement of hundreds of thousands of small local shops and businesses across India. The summit will include keynotes, panel discussions, masterclasses and more on the importance of technology adoption across industries, while focusing on key areas such as Social empowerment and empowerment for Inclusive economic growth, innovation for India and building digital infrastructure and more. Each year, the “Amazon Smbhav Awards” recognize companies, innovators and individuals who have made significant progress in their respective fields and contributed to the construction of an Atmanirbhar Bharat. Last year, over 1200 companies, innovators and individuals applied for the Smbhav Awards in 11 categories. This year, the Smbhav Awards will feature 15 different categories to reward innovative and disruptive business ideas.

Amazon Smbhav began 2020 by bringing together keynotes, panel discussions, and workshops featuring Amazon business leaders, decision-makers, and executives in the areas most relevant to India’s growth. At the inaugural summit, Amazon pledged to digitize 10 million MSMEs, generate $10 billion in cumulative exports from India, and create 2 million jobs in India by 2025.
