AMD’s 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 5700X drops to Amazon low at $200 shipped

Amazon offers the 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen 7 5700X desktop processor for $199.99 shipped. Down from a normal $220 to $240 lately, today’s deal marks a new all-time low we’ve been tracking at Amazon. While this might not be AMD’s latest offering, you’ll find that a Ryzen 7 5700X system is actually still quite powerful. It uses DDR4, which is more affordable than DDR5, and still benefits from PCIe 4.0 technology for graphics and storage. It also packs eight cores and 16 threads along with a 4.6 GHz clock. The 5700X is also unlocked so you can overclock it to extract every possible ounce of performance from this processor. Check out our announcement coverage for more, then keep reading for more.

Of course, you could check out the AMD Ryzen 5 5600G instead for something more budget-friendly at $151. Of course, it doesn’t support PCIe 4.0, nor does it have the same processing power as the 5700X above. However, there are integrated Radeon graphics so you can play games and use your system without a dedicated GPU, which is what the processor on sale in today’s main offering requires. Learn more about the 5600G in our hands-on review.

Elevate your gaming desktop even further with the ASUS ROG Strix 27-inch 4K 144Hz gaming monitor that’s downsized to a $575 down.
