Dominique Jean’s new “Be the Head” is a gripping memoir that explores important lessons learned from a determined father

“Be the Leader”: A helpful opportunity to learn new strategies for success and faith-based living. “Be the Head” is the creation of published author Dominique Jean, a writer who educates and encourages others to obtain CPR certifications in order to save lives.

Jean shares, “I wrote the first version of this book a month after Kenneth died. We reproached ourselves for not having followed the intuition of the twin sisters. She was his voice since they were born. I was angry with the world. I couldn’t bring our Kenneth back. I knew it was a sign of depression. I beg the children to ask for help. I didn’t feel like I needed it. I decided to write this book and lambasted the world. As soon as I finished it, I felt so much better. I thought I had miraculously healed. The devil is a liar. I sent Be the Head to two publishers, but they refused. They didn’t even tell me a reason. When my cookbook was finished, I sent it to both publishers; he was accepted right away. As a spiritual being, I practice meditations as soon as I finish my prayers. I heard a voice say, ‘Anyone who reads the book will know it was made for a good cause, but they can also tell that you were angry with the world when you wrote it. Rewrite it now. You will know and feel the difference. Being mean and bitter is not what you are. Your father raised you better. Your other books; Creole Cajun Creative Kitchen Recipes by Kenneth and As Reality Strikes do not describe you as such. Why would you want Be the Head to give people the wrong impression of you? Instead, make it a tool that will help others. I obeyed the call. My spirit guide never fails me. This book will help raise awareness of the need to immediately report abuse in any shape or form and a way for everyone to get CPR certification by making it a must. Seek help for yourself. Recognize the early stages of depression, seek help for yourself if needed; then get help for someone you love. Share good information to improve the lives of others. Together we can make this world a better place. Stay blessed.”
