iQOO Z6 Pro launched in India as the costliest version of vanilla iQOO Z6. The handset comes with high-end specs like 90Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 778G chipset, Android 12 operating system and a 16MP snapper at the front. The handset competes with the Realme 9 Pro+ which received great reviews for the cameras and an all-new color-changing design on the back. The handset comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset, 50MP main camera and 60W fast charging.

iQOO Z6 Pro vs Realme 9 Pro+: price in India

The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 23,999 for the 6GB RAM/128GB Rs 24,999 for the 8GB/128GB version and Rs 28,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB variant. The older variant will be available for Rs 22,999 as part of the introductory offer. The handset will be on sale through Amazon and the iQOO website.

The Realme 9 Pro+ price in India is Rs 24,999 for the 6GB + 128GB, Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model. Midnight Black, green aurora, and Sunrise Blue color options. Combined with bank offers, the price will be slightly lower.

Design-wise, the iQOO Z6 Pro comes with a waterdrop notch in the front for selfie snapper and narrow bezels. The volume rocker and power button sit on the right spine, while the left edge is flat. The USB Type-C port, speaker grill, and SIM tray section are on the bottom.

On the back, there is a large camera module, where two circular rings are present to accommodate triple lenses (one in the upper ring and two in the lower ring.) The phone has a sensor of in-screen fingerprint and is available in Phantom Dusk and Legion Sky colors. The back panel is plastic but feels like glass which is a good indication of its build quality.

In contrast, the Realme 9 Pro+ has a more modern design. It has a corner cutout for the selfie snapper. The volume rocker is on the right, while the volume buttons and SIM tray section are placed on the left edge. The secondary microphone is on the top, while the speaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack, and microphone are on the bottom. The rear panel has a large square module to house triple camera sensors and an LED flash.

The Sunrise Blue color variant of the Realme 9 Pro+ has a Light Shift design which under normal sunlight or ultraviolet light changes color from blue to red in about 3 seconds. It will disappear in 2-5 minutes without sunlight.

Processor, storage and RAM

The power supply of the iQOO Z6 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G with Adreno 642L GPU. It contains 8 GB / 12 GB of RAM and 4 GB of virtual RAM. There is an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

The Realme 9 Pro+ is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 920 chipset paired with the Mali-G68 MC4 GPU for gaming. The phone packs 6GB/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor for added security.

The performance of the iQOO Z6 Pro should be slightly better than that of the Realme 9 Pro+, given that the Snapdragon 778G is a powerful chipset.

Realme 9 Pro+ has the same 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate sensor, 1080×2400 pixel resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 2.5D curved glass, report 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.80% screen-to-body ratio, 180 Hz touch sampling rate, 430 nits brightness (600 peak brightness) and 409 PPI.


iQOO Z6 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup on the back, featuring a 64MP main camera with f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide lens with 116-degree FoV, and a 2MP 4cm macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. There’s a 16MP camera on the front for selfies and video chats.

Realme 9 Pro+ Camera

The Realme 9 Pro+ has three cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 main sensor with an LED flash, OIS, EIS, 1/1.56″ sensor, 6P lens, PDAF and f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree FoV and f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. There’s a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Realme 9 Pro+ cameras have received impressive reviews from media and customers. The handset is said to deliver flagship-grade performance thanks to OIS and a 50MP Sony sensor.
