Reacher just cast a major character for the second season of Amazon Prime Video Show

Fans of author Lee Child’s series Jack Reacher have been waiting for new information regarding the second season of the Amazon Prime Video program, Reach. It was one of the best new programs added to the streaming service and gave people a great reason to sign up for an Amazon subscription. We have found great information regarding the second season of the show, which we know will be based on the novel Bad luck and trouble. And today we learn that Shaun Sipos has got an important role in Reach season 2, playing David O’Donnell.

Shaun Sipos is best known for his work on another Amazon Prime Video series, Outdoor beachbut agreed to a one-year contract to play O’Donnell in the second season of Reachby Deadline. The one-year deal makes sense. David O’Donnell is a character who only appears in Lee Child’s book, even though he has a very powerful connection to Jack Reacher’s past.

In the Amazon Prime Video series, the burly Alan Ritchson plays the title character, a former military investigator and current drifter who gets involved in business while hitchhiking across the country. Trouble tends to find Reacher, though in Bad luck and troublehe’s headed for danger after members of his former army battalion are found dead…and, of course, murdered.

David O’Donnell is one of the surviving members of Reacher’s elite platoon who agrees to join his colleague in Los Angeles and begin investigating what happened to their dead brothers. The search takes them to Las Vegas and then to Southern California, where Reacher discovers that the enemy strong enough to take some of the best soldiers he knows could also make Reacher’s survival difficult.

We distinguished Bad luck and trouble as a perfect sourcebook for Reach season 2, as it would not rely on any of the characters introduced in the first season of Reach (who received great reviews). Additionally, the location change from rural Georgia to Southern California should also put a fresh coat of paint on Reacher season 2, helping the Amazon Prime Video program mimic the books in the way they rarely interconnect and usually tell single-serving stories.

We always have a bunch of questions on Reach Season 2, starting with when it might hit the streaming service. From what we hear, filming starts in the fall, so maybe a drop in early 2023? At least we know who plays O’Donnell now. Let the rest of the cast fill in.
