The Devil’s Hour: When the Amazon thriller filmed in Aldershot and Farnborough will be released

Last year a number of film sets have popped up in Aldershot and Farnborough.

Rumors at the time suggested it could be ‘The Devil’s Hour’, a drama for Amazon Prime, where filming was based at Farnborough Film Studios.

Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi and Call The Midwife’s Jessica Raine both star in the drama according to IMBD.

Initial reports suggested the drama could be released later in 2021 or early 2022, but it has yet to hit our screens.

An Amazon spokesperson told HampshireLive The Devil’s Hour will take place later this year, but gave more details.

Production company Hartswood Films, which was behind the BBC’s Sherlock starring Aldershot-born Martin Freeman, is behind the new thriller.

The North Camp Film Crew

In July 2021, film crews took over Aldershot town center and transformed a local store into a 1950s toy store.

At the time, locals told HampshireLive that a child actor was spotted entering the shop as part of the filming.

Film crews were also spotted at Caesar’s Camp and in the city’s North Camp neighborhood.

A few weeks later, in August, film crews moved into a local primary school to film scenes and local councilors were invited to watch the action.

Amazon describes the series as “breathtaking” and it seems perfect for anyone looking for a haunting psychological drama.

Jessica plays main character Lucy Cambers, who wakes up every night at 3:33 a.m., also known as Devil’s Hour.

Over the course of the six-part thriller, Lucy’s name becomes linked to a number of murders.
